About

Built for the part nobody talks about

GLP-Done exists to help people keep the weight off after GLP-1 medications, the under-served stretch of the journey that most products quietly ignore.

Our mission: own the off-ramp

Almost everything in this space is built for the on-ramp: how to start a GLP-1, what to expect in the first weeks, how to manage early side effects. That work matters, and plenty of people do it well. The part that gets far less attention is what happens after, when someone has reached a weight they are proud of and now wants to hold it. That stretch, the maintenance phase, is where GLP-Done lives.

We call it owning the off-ramp. When the medication tapers, slows, or stops, the body does not simply stay put. Appetite signals shift, metabolism adapts, and old patterns can quietly return. Our job is to make that transition less mysterious and more manageable, with clear, evidence-grounded guidance on protein, strength, sleep, and the daily habits that help maintenance stick.

The founder story

GLP-Done was built by Ian MacCallum, who kept noticing the same gap. Every headline, ad, and app seemed to be about starting a GLP-1: Ozempic, Wegovy, Zepbound, Mounjaro, and the rest. Almost none of it was about keeping the weight off afterward. People were doing the hard work to get to a healthier place and then being handed very little for the moment they needed support most.

So GLP-Done started as a focused answer to one question: what does a genuinely helpful companion for the after look like? Not a louder version of the marketing already out there, but a calm, practical resource grounded in what the research actually supports.

Independent by design

GLP-Done receives no compensation from drug manufacturers. We are not paid to promote any medication, brand, or pharmacy, and our content is educational rather than promotional. That independence is the whole point: it lets us be honest about what the evidence shows, including the places where it is mixed or still uncertain. You can read more in our methodology and editorial policy.

Why it is not an injection tracker

We deliberately did not build an injection or dosing tracker. Decisions about whether, when, and how to take or adjust a medication belong with your clinician, and we never want a tool of ours to blur that line. GLP-Done focuses instead on the things you can work on alongside your care team: building maintenance habits, protecting muscle, eating enough protein, and understanding what your body is doing so the changes feel less alarming and more expected.

Privacy-first

The GLP-Done iOS app is private by design. There is no account to create, and in its first version there is no data collection: your information stays on your device. For Pro, optional sync uses Apple's encrypted CloudKit, which means GLP-Done cannot read your data. We think a health companion should earn trust, and the simplest way to do that is to not gather what we do not need.

Who writes this

Content is created and maintained by Ian MacCallum, the founder. We do not invent clinician credentials or attach a “medically reviewed by” label we have not earned. You can learn more on our authors page.

A note on what this is

Everything here is educational and is not medical advice. Obesity is a chronic condition, and weight regain after a GLP-1 is physiology, not a personal failure. Please talk with your own clinician before starting, stopping, changing, or tapering any medication. We are here to help you understand the landscape, not to replace the people who care for you.
